Yep, can't get Parie and Suters contracts out of my head, much like the Vikings/Peterson. Going to be many years rebuilding, while still maintaining contracts with guys past their primes. Scary

Fletcher's in SoCal right now, hopefully successfully convincing Boudreau that Minnesota is where he should coach now.

If I am Bruce Boudreau and have the choice between Calgary,Minnesota, or Ottawa, I am choosing Calgary. The Flames look to have the more complete roster of the bunch and are only missing a goalie to push them over the top. Maybe BB can get more out of the roster Minnesota has now but I am not sure, their is no reason Minnesota should be as bad as they are with the talent they have.

All Calgary needs is a goalie? So Hartley was fired because of a goal tending deficiency? Dude please. Calgary has a nice group of young players, but to say they have a more complete roster and that the Wild are somehow a bad team is about as asinine a comment as I've heard lately.

Stay off drugs.

who coaches the wild doesn't really matter to me, with the talent currently on the roster.. unless fletch can somehow get a 60pt player this team won't improve by simply changing the coach.. it's an offense with under performing vets that won't improve until there gone.. i can handle streaky scoring from the younger guys but the vets were terrible this year.. it inexcusable for vanek and pommer to disappear for long stretches with the $ they make.. the wild desperately need a goal scorer, someone who can shoot the puck.. vanek and pommer's best years are behind them and they were the ones brought in to shoot the puck and have failed

Calgary is a younger team with a clearer path to improvement.

But there is a reason Wild finished 17th in the league, and Flames finished 26th, and it certainly wasn't JUST goaltending.

the Wild have some nice pieces and could make a challenge with the right tweaks. need to get rid of the dead weight and bring in some fresh blood. should have traded guys like pomminville, and some others at the deadline. Vanek shouldnt be resigned. the guy seems like he's spent.

Nobody is taking Pominvilles contract at the TDL with as horrible as he played the last two seasons and Vanek will be bought out of that I have no doubt.
